DATUM is more than a floor—it is the engineered foundation around which an OVC interior is constructed. Instead of fastening every component independently through the finished floor and into uncertain locations below, OVC can design the floor and interior together as one coordinated structure.

PROTECTED UTILITIES.
DATUM allows OVC to plan designated utility routes within the floor assembly before the interior is installed. By routing through the floor utilities are free to emerge right where they are needed: water at the galley, electrical switches where they are most convenient, and power everywhere you want it. DATUM transforms an otherwise unused layer of the van into organized infrastructure—allowing OVC to distribute utilities efficiently.

SECURING THE STRUCTURE.
DATUM creates a continuous mechanical connection between the vehicle’s original structure and the OVC modules installed above. OVC modules connect to DATUM, DATUM connects to the vehicle, and the loads created during travel are managed through known mechanical connections. Everything has a defined place—and a defined way of staying there.
